Pathways:

Operations Research

Join us in the Operations Research track for two break-out sessions designed to improve the understanding of cause marketing in the real business world.  The Operations Research track will have a session for students to hear a local success story from Dr. Zancanaro as well as a session answering the question "How do you build a marketing campaign that helps build brand identity and support for a cause?"

Integrated Marketing Campaign and Marketing Roleplays

In this Marketing track, students will have the opportunity to learn more about applying marketing to business scenarios. Mr. Brown will be answering the question, "How do you quantify the financial return of a promotional campaign? How do you measure associated revenues & costs?"  Next, Mr. Connell will lead a session that discusses, "How do you identify a theme or message for your promotional plan? How do you choose which forms of promotion are most appropriate for your campaign?"

Entrepreneurship

In the Entrepreneurship track, students writing Entrepreneurship papers will have the opportunity to hear from two of Purdue's Krannert School of Management alumni.  These alumni will be discussing, "How can you utilize a core competency in your business to create greater sustainability and protect against larger competitors?" and, "How do make reasonable projections for revenue, costs, and other figures for a startup?"

Professional Selling

In the Professional Selling focused track, students will hear from speakers from the Purdue Center for Professional Selling.  These experts will be educating competitors on "How to address the root of the problems facing a company by identifying all of its symptoms?" and "Developing relationships with customers." 

Hospitality Roleplays

Join us for the Hospitality Roleplay track.  This pathway will be led by Mr. Dziwlik and Mr. Mince and is designed to engage students on the most important aspects of hospitality.  Mr. Mince will be answering the question, "What is the role of marketing in the hospitality and tourism industry?"  Mr. Dziwlik will be discussing, "How is brand loyalty created? What is the role of marketing and customer service in creating brand loyalty?"

Financial Roleplays

In the Financial Roleplays track, students will have the opportunity to learn more about the role of finance in business.  First, Mr. Wang will discuss, "What are different financial/accounting applications in various "real-life" occupations?"  Next, Mrs. Bradbury will be explaining, "What is the role of financials in business? How do businesses determine profit margin goals? How are research methods used and how are the results measured?"
